April 20th Party at the Pumps!

April 19th, 2011

On Wednesday, April 20th we’ll be riding back into the streets for more partying at the pumps!

We’ll start gathering at Victoria Park by 5:30pm, and then we’ll be riding out by 6:00pm.

Here’s a video and some photos from our riding/rallying last fall -

Climate Justice London is calling this Party at the Pumps to join the day of action against extraction -

The People for Peace and some other local activists will be joining and helping with the festivities.

These rallies are about the worldwide impacts from fossil fuel and mining extractive industries.

Creative and fun contributions -
We invite any musicians, performers, and artists — or anyone else with creative and fun contributions to offer — to bring to the rallies. If you want to do any of that, you’re welcome to just show up without contacting us first.

Bike sharing -
There are at least a couple of spare bikes that are available. Please contact us ASAP if you would like to use one.

Meadowlilly meeting -
If you come out for the whole Party at the Pumps, we’ll be connecting with this city hall meeting at the end of the ride -

That meeting is about the Meadowlilly Woods, an environmentally significant area that Wal-Mart has been trying to build around. The city hall meeting starts at 7pm.

Anyone is welcome to contact us about how they can be involved in the April 20th rallies.

Please spread the word!
